Rock shows are awesome. That goes double for rock shows that let you support a worthy cause simply by attending them. That’s exactly the situation they’ve got going on over at TT the Bear’stonight, as four of Boston’s favorites converge on Central Square to lend their talent and passion to a show benefiting BAGLY – Boston Alliance for Gay and Lesbian Youth. Check out their page, it’s important work that they’re doing.
Full Body Anchor, fronted by the dynamic Eric Edmonston, deliver anthemic arena rock straight from the ‘90s. Their powerhouse live performances are marked with soaring vocals, red hot riffs, and carpet bomb percussion. Genre mixing alchemists Cancer Killing Gemini blend together industrial elements with punk and classic rock to craft a refreshing sound that’s greater than the sum of its parts, while dance rock punksOilhead take a similar approach to their sound, using hardcore, techno, and pop as their ingredients. Getting the night started with an acoustic set will be GRYGIEL, the current project of tireless LGBT activist Jen Grygiel (formerly of MEandJOANCOLLINS). She’s worked with the It Gets Better Project, among other things, and she’s a natural fit for this show.
